Oncura has a major global presence in the treatment
of localized prostate cancer, offering the established
and proven option of brachytherapy, as well as the
rapidly growing technique of cryotherapy. In the
United States it is estimated that around 234,460
new prostate cancer patients will be diagnosed in
2006; and more than 90% will be diagnosed in the
local and regional stages.

of kidney cancer.
ONCURA was created through the merger of Amersham
plcs (now GE Healthcare) brachytherapy business
and Galil Medical Ltds urology business. Galil
is a subsidiary of Elron (ELRN). Headquartered in
the United States, ONCURA operates as an independent
business, with its International business being
operated from its UK subsidiary.
